A prototype development platform that targets digital signal processing and data logging applications. A unique multiprocessing/core architecture combining Field Programable Gate Arrays and 32 bit microcpontroller. It means a safe start for development cycles of processing and control systems requiring high computation comprexity and /or logic resources.

Programmable logic

Up to six Spartan-III XC3S1500FG676 Xilinx FPGA’s assigned to two different connector areas, both linked to each other via three different buses: System bus, FPGA bus, IO bus. All FPGA can be programmed via JTAG interface (from PC to nonvolatile memory), or dynamically from the embeded microcontroller in Parallel SelectMap Mode. a 16Mbits configuration EEPROM is available for every FPGA in the sytem.

32 bit Microprocessor

A standard ARM controller module suppiorting embedded high level operating systems (Windows CE, Linux) and RTOS. the module includes the following resouces.

  • USB host and device controller
  • CAN bus controller
  • R232
  • 2GB SD card
  • Modularity

    Backplane-based modular architecture with exchangeable FPGA , microcontroller and IO modules.

  • 10/100Mb Ethernet
  • High speec CAN bus
  • USB host and device controller
  • R232
  • 2GB SD card
  • Additionally customised communication modules can be added to the IO bus interface.
